Friday is here again folks! The weekend is upon us and it’s time to once again recap the week in Politics and Culture. This weeks list is a bit shorter than usual but there are still significant events worth mentioning.
- Presidential candidate Ben Carson is in hot water over remarks he made relating to Islam and the presidency. Carson claims that his remarks were taken out of context by the mainstream media.
- Pope Francis visits America for the first time. Speaking before Congress, he urges them to “put aside their differences” for the good of the country.
- John Boehner stepped down from his position as House Speaker after pressure to resign from conservative leadership.
